Start Spring Planting!

February is still a winter month but now is the time to start spring planting in your garden! Fruit trees, vegetables, and more are ready to be planted in your backyard. Here’s what to plant:

  • Vegetables – Plant potatoes, onions, and lettuce.
  • Fruit – Plant avocado trees, pomegranates, blackberries and blueberries, and more. Just visit Milberger’s Nursery to find out what other fruit plants to grow.
  • Trees – Add trees to your yard. Select trees that are compatible with your soil type. You may also consult us about which trees are best for planting.
  • Perennials – Plant perennials in your garden to have a site to see when spring is finally here.

Weeds will be visible in dormant, warm-season lawns. Dig or spot-spray weeds with an herbicide that won’t kill grass. For more on lawn maintenance or gardening tips, keep visiting Milberger’s Nursery or give us a call at (210) 497-3760.
