With an on-site tree lot covering four acres, Milbergerʼs has the largest selection of fresh, well-rooted trees in the San Antonio area. When choosing trees for your landscape your primary considerations are to select a species that is well adapted in our climatic conditions and the specific location where it will be planted. With over forty years of tree planting experience Milbergerʼs has the expertise to be sure that your Trees & Shrubs thrive in your landscape.
Milbergerʼs Nursery offers the largest selection of Turf Grass & Sod available in South Central Texas. We usually carry nineteen different varieties of sod, including the newest releases of turf grass that have been tested and judged reliable in our area. We have seven sample lawn areas of most of the sod types that we carry. You are invited to examine and walk on these sample lawn areas to help you determine the look and feel of the turf that is most suitable for your landscape.
Milberger purchases sod from only the best growers in the state. These grasses are essentially weed and disease-free and true to the labeled variety. We do not carry grasses that are called “mixed grasses” as they do not meet our standards for reliability. New grasses are introduced regularly.
Annual herbs can be colorful and low maintenance and Milbergerʼs carries a wide variety of herb transplants throughout the year. Whether you are starting a kitchen herb garden, or using these easy-to-grow annuals to fill in the bare spots in your garden beds you can count on Milbergerʼs to have the Herbs you need.
Milbergerʼs regularly carries over fifty varieties of Antique and Modern roses that have been recommended by Texas A&M and the San Antonio Rose Society. Our Roses section will guide you through the enchanting universe of Roses, offering tips on their care, pruning, and creating stunning rose gardens.
With our own on site, Milbergerʼs knows how water gardens, water features, pond-less streams and water falls can enhance your South Texas landscape. We specialize in the variety of water plants that you will need to keep your water garden in balance: edge plant, floating plans, oxygenators and submersibles. We also offer has pumps, filters, pond equipment and accessories for your water feature. Please note, we do not carry any live fish (koi).
A visit our beautiful greenhouses will greet you with a wide choice of bromeliads, orchids, ferns, and much more. We have two 40ʼ X 80ʼ climate-controlled greenhouses stocked with plants that will provide a healthy and pleasant ambiance to the interior of your home or office.
