Come join GVST for a SPECIAL EDITION of our monthly Gardening Essentials Class. First, some of Milberger’s professional staff will host us in their rustic, but cozy and comfortable amphitheater. There, Claudette and Mary will give a brief history of Milberger’s and then demonstrate some products and tips in ways they beat the heat to still enjoy and enhance their gardening experience through the summer. They will also demonstrate some of their own and SAWS preferred plants.
From there, we will take a short stroll through their beautiful nursery under their majestic Live Oaks canopy to their Certified and Registered Butterfly Garden. Once there, Claudette, their “Butterfly Garden Guru” will explain the process she has gone through in putting this garden together. She will also admit some of the mistakes that were made along the way creating and maintaining the garden. It is still a work in progress with some plant exchanges and swaps still happening. She will also demonstrate some of the proper pruning of some of the plants as needed.
Then we will take a tour of the grass sample varieties while Claudette informs us on their drought tolerance and even have a little Q&A session!
Then it is time to go shopping!
