Christmas trees have arrived at Milberger’s Nursery and we have a great selection from which to choose! You can come by to see for yourself, and even if you’re unsure on how to pick a good Christmas tree, we have you covered. Milberger’s knowledgeable associates will be on-hand to answer your questions, but you can start looking yourself by following these simple tips that will ensure you get the tree that’s just right for you.

Size. Be sure to measure the space you plan to dedicate to your tree so that know exactly what size of tree you need for your home. This goes for the height and width, as well. You don’t want a tree that is too tall for your ceiling or one that is too fat to fit your living room.

Decorations. Consider the size and weight of the decorations you’ll be putting onto your tree. Some species have more open foliage, stiffer branches or longer needles.

Needle Test. Do a needle test to ensure the freshness of your tree. Needles should not fall off easily. Check the branches as well, if they’re brittle and snap off easily, the tree is too dry. Other indicators of a bad tree are excessive needle loss, discolored foliage, musty odor, needle pliability, and wrinkled bark.

Ask questions. Our associates love to talk about our trees, the different species among our selection, and which one would be best for you and best for our south Texas climate. Everyone has a different plan for their Christmas tree, so it’s important to get just the right one.

At Milberger’s, you’re sure to find the tree that’s just right for you and your family. Drop by and get yours today!
